Abstract:

Tarih diğer edebî türlerde olduğu gibi tiyatro için de vazgeçilemeyen önemli bir kaynaktır. Savaşlar, işgal¬ler, isyanlar, taht kavgaları, saray entrikaları gibi tarihi olaylar Türk tiyatrosunun çok ilgi duyduğu konulardır. Her dönemde yaşanan halk-iktidar ilişkileri tiyatromuzun konuları arasındadır. Olağan üstü başarılar veya kahra¬manlıklar ile devlet, siyaset, sanat ve ilim adamlarının başarı öyküleri de tiyatro yazarlarının dikkatini çekmiştir. Ayrıca, yenileşme, değişme, modernleşme ve çeşitli ideo¬lojiler tiyatromuzu besleyen konular arasındadır. Bun¬larla beraber mitoloji, destan, efsane ve halk hikâyeleri Türk tiyatrosunun beslendiği diğer konulardır.
