Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to analyze the technical efficiency of the units that provide oral and dental health services related to the Ministry of Health on the basis of the provinces. Research has suggested potential improvement for unefficient and unefficient regions identified. In this study, the method of data coverage analysis (VZA) was used. According to the CCR and BCC models in the VZA analysis, the units that provide oral and dental health services were assessed on the basis of the provinces. In the VZA method, the variables are made up of three entries (units number, doctors number, units number) and five outlets (patients number, clinics number, toothbrush number, conservative treatment number, endodontic treatment number). According to the study, approximately 82% of the researchers were involved. 7 (CCR) has been found to be inefficient. The average efficiency of oral and dental services was 84.4 % (CCR), 88.0 % (BCC) and 95.5 % (scale efficiency). As a result, it has been shown that oral and dental health units within the Ministry of Health on the regional scale should allocate their income by rational methods to use their public resources effectively and efficiently. Unfunctional hospitals may be possible by being able to work more efficiently, by reducing their income or by providing potential improvements in the output.
