Abstract:

Ankara Savaşı’nda galip gelen Timur, İzmir üzerine yürürken, Sivrihisar, Seyitgazi, Kütahya ve Denizli yolundan gitmiştir. İzmir’deki Lâtin kalesini aldıktan sonra da Denizli üzerinden Uluborlu’ya gelmiş; Uluborlu kalesinden sonra, Eğridir ve Nis (Yeşilada) kalelerini almış, Kemer Boğazı, Bozdurmuşbeli ve Çay üzerinden Akşehir’e gitmiştir. Oradan da Ilgın, Kadınhanı, Sultanhanı üzerinden Aksaray yakınlarında bulunan ve hasta olan şehzâdesine ulaşmıştır.
