Abstract:

The term science (terminology) defined as the whole of the terms used in relation to a field in the form of a field is a field to be discussed for the purpose of the formation and continuity of qualified and understandable studies. The Turkish People's Music (THM) terminology, which forms the foundation of the people's mouth, is, of course, in line with this purpose, but unfortunately due to the lack of questions to be answered, it is also an area waiting to be discussed. In order to answer the questions, it is also necessary to identify the situation, that is, how and in which process the THM terminology is formed, who has played a role in the relevant process. In a period in which the culture-art policies of the Republic of Turkey began to form newly, the terminology used by Muzaffer Sarısözen (1899-1963), which we can describe as the beginning of a new period in life and therefore in the history of THM, is of course important in the context of the contributions it has provided to the repertoire of Turkish folk music with its composer and archiver identity, its teacher identity with its students, its chef identity with its artists, its researcher identity with its music science world, its producer-publisher identity with its radio (TRT) and thus its listeners. At this point, from the terminology that Sarısözen used in his work integrated with rigidity and precision, how did he translate the diversity arising from geographical differences into the written language? How do you use the language to meet this diversity? Are you on the way to produce new products? So what is the role of Sarısözen in the process of forming the THM terminology? While looking for answers to your questions, we will provide a look at the THM terminology we are using today through the terminology that Sarısözen has used and discuss the relevant field.
