Abstract:

In our country, the Gecondu regions have increased as a result of rapid immigration from our cities, villages, towns, small cities, which have developed their industry after the 1950s. In the past 30 – 40 years, the development of neoliberal policies in the world and in Turkey has been sought to prevent the gecondulation and this has been carried out under the name of urban transformation projects. A state institution, the General Housing Administration (TOKI), has increased its housing effectiveness gradually after 2000 years. The primary goal is to meet the housing needs of the society and to ensure that the evacuation is prevented. But projects aimed at low-income families are often carried out in the cities, and the families living in the cities have again caused them to settle in the houses made by the Public Housing Administration (TOKİ) outside the city. They appear to have grown up, but the TOKİ houses made in their place are similar to the TOKİ in many ways. This study will discuss the similarities between the TOKİ applications aimed at solving the rapid urbanization problem that has emerged over the past 50 years, the TOKİ applications aimed at solving the housing and housing problem, the quality and quantity opening of the TOKİ housing and the formation processes.
