Abstract:

The tradition of building a wooden square and roofed mosque, which has a rooted history in Turkish architecture, wasined in the Anadolu Selçuklu, Beylikler and Ottoman period, and was also applied in the examples of the Salur mosque, Kadirağa mosque, Eminağa mosque and Imamoğlu mosque located in the Old Gediz town of Kütahya. The four examples that have similar characteristics to each other have also shown similarity to the feudal installation. In addition to its unprecedented architecture, it is intended to promote the tradition of the wooden roofed mosque used in every period, along with the detection of the examples of the work subject, built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, along with its plans and photographs.
