Mitoloji bir toplumun, kültür, inanış ve değerlerini içinde barındıran bir bilim dalıdır. Bu açıdan mitolojiler içinde barındırdıkları inanış ve değerleri geçmişten günümüze nesilden nesille aktarım sağladığından toplumlarda için önemlidirler. Bu önemli özelliğinden dolayı birçok sanat dalına ve sanatçılara da ilham kaynağı olmuştur. Türk mitolojisi de bu anlamda pek çok Türk sanatçımızın esin kaynağıdır. Türk mitolojisinin içinde barındırmış olduğu motif ve semboller günümüz sanatçımızın eserlerine ağırlıklı olarak yer almaktadır. Bu sanatçılardan biri olan Osman Yılmazer’de, bu sembolleri kendi yorumuyla çalışmalarında sıklıkla kullanmaktadır Böylece sanatçımızın eserlerinde Türk inanç sistemi içerisinde yer alan sembol, motif ve renkler yeniden hayat bulmuştur. Ayrıca eserlerinde mitoloji ile tasavvuf inancı da ustaca harmanlamıştır.Konumuz itibariyle Osman Yılmazer’in eserlerindeki mitolojik öğeler, semboller ve renkleri araştırarak ortaya çıkan sonuçları gözler önüne sermeye çalışacağız.
Mythology is a branch of science that incorporates within a society, culture, beliefs and values. From this point of view, the beliefs and values they contain in the mythologies are important for the societies because they provide transition from past to present from generation to generation. Because of this important feature, it has been a source of inspiration for many branches of art and artists. Turkish mythology is the source of inspiration for many Turkish artists in this sense. The motives and symbols contained in the Turkish mythology are mainly included in the works of our contemporary artist. In Osman Yılmazer, one of these artists, he often uses these symbols in his work with his own interpretation So in the works of our artist the symbols, motives and colors that are within the Turkish system of belief have found life again. In addition, the mythology and Tasavvuf faith have also been skillfully mixed in their works.In our subject, we will try to look forward to the results arising by researching the mythological elements, symbols and colors in the works of Osman Yılmazer.
