Hak arama özgürlüğünün teminatı konumunda bulunan avukatlık meslek mensupları, yargının üç önemli sacayağından birinin temsilcileri olarak, vatandaşların adalete olan güveninin korunmasında büyük rol oynamaktadırlar. Yargılama sürecinde hukuki yardıma ihtiyaç duyan vatandaşlar kendilerine vekil tayin ettikleri avukatlar vasıtasıyla problemlerine çözüm ararken hem kendilerini güvende hissetmekte hem de adalet terazisine olan inançlarını korumaktadırlar. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yargı erkinin üç önemli sacayağından biri olan avukatlık mesleğinin adaletin tesisi sürecinde rolünün, öneminin vurgulanması ve güncel meseleler ışığında avukatlık mesleğinin geleceği üzerine bir değerlendirmede bulunulmasıdır. Çalışmada öncelikle adalet kavramına farklı perspektiflerden bakılarak vatandaşların hak arama özgürlüğü ve adalete olan inançlarının korunabilmesinde avukatlık mesleğinin rolü ve önemi araştırılacak, buradan hareketle güncel meseleler ışığında mesleki açıdan yaşanan çeşitli problemlere değinilecek; sosyal, ekonomik ve teknolojik gelişmeler ışığında avukatlık mesleğinin geleceği üzerine bir değerlendirmede bulunulacaktır.
