Abstract:

According to the group theory, which draws attention to the facts of the group and the effectiveness of the group in the political process, groups organized around common interests in multi-democratic systems are competing in order to provide access to decision-making processes and gain power, groups that are superior in the inter-group competition can lead the policies. In the EU, groups that represent civil and productive interests are organized in the form of national federations, intergroups, foreign groups and Eurogroups and interact with the decision-making authorities. The Eurogroup, which provides information and expertise to the EU institutions, operates as high-access grades, to influence both national and EU decision-making policies in line with their organized interests at the European level. This study examined EURCHAMBERS, UNICE, ETUC, UAPME, EURATEX, EUROCOTON, YES FOR EUROPE/JEUNE, AECM, COPA/COGECA, CCBE, EWL, EEB, EUA and CEMR represented by citizens and producing groups in Turkey. In addition, the expectations and benefits of the civil and producer groups represented in the Eurogroup in Turkey have been attempted to be identified.
