Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to reveal the validity and reliability of the "Responsible Tourism Scale" (Mathew and Sreejesh, 2017) by adapting to the Turkish language. The scale consists of four dimensions, economically, socially, culturally and environmentally. But the idea of the need to deal with the responsibility in a broad scale and the "Responsible Tourism Scale" has been placed on the statements related to political responsibility and the scale has been added materials. When the matters of the scale were created, the field text was first scanned on the responsive tourism and, as a result of the expert opinions, a 17 matters material pool on political responsibility was created. The explanatory and verifying factor analysis found that the four-factor structure consisted of the dimensions of "economic responsibility", "socio-cultural responsibility", "environmental responsibility" and "political responsibility". The measurement’s reliability ratio is also found to have high values ranging from 0.80 to 0.86. These findings show that the "Responsible Tourism Scale" can be applied as a reliable and valid tool in the work that will be carried out in Turkey.
