Abstract:

Happiness is one of the most important goals of people throughout their lives. Aristotle defined happiness as the essence of human life. If not the most basic one, maybe the most important one is what this situation can be influenced. The relationship between factors such as income, career and education level and happiness has been frequently studied. Is there a relationship between the living and the happiness? The research was aimed at determining the differences between the levels of happiness of individuals living in houses for families, including different income groups, and the related factors. This study studies the relationship between the data of the demographic factors obtained from two different samples, including the low and medium-income groups, and the happiness of these people. For this purpose, the surveys were applied to the residents of TOKİ where persons, including the different income group, are residing and the data obtained were evaluated by various analyses. The research finds no significant difference between the levels of happiness of people living in houses for low-income and middle-income groups. Even though the average income of those living in the low-income groups is lower than those living in the middle-income groups, this difference is not meaningful. There was no meaningful relationship between income and happiness levels. The relationship between the level of education and the level of happiness has been significant.
