Abstract:

The purpose of the investigation is to identify their perceptions about Turkey by analyzing the topical news of Turkey and the reader’s comments under the news. In the international foreign press that the readers relating to news on the subject of Turkey have been taken into the research universe; the readers' comments on news on the subject of Turkey on the 'The Independent' news sites have formed a sample unit. In the study, using the content analysis method, the data of foreign readers' perception of news related to the news of Turkey found on the websites of the Independet Internet newspaper was studied by collecting data. According to the research purposes, on the news site that forms a sample unit between 01 September 2016 and 01 July 2017 that the Turkish topical news readers' comments have been accessed through the internet environment and their comments have been categorized as 'Anti-Turkey News Comments', 'Anti-Islam News Comments' and 'Thinking News Comments'. The research was studied by a total of 1165 comments by the content analysis method of 10 different news readers. 526 of them contained anti-Turkish statements, and 259 were anti-Islamic news interpretations.
