Abstract:

The aim of this research is to reveal the thoughts of sixth-class students about the use of games in mathematics teaching. The sample of the study was formed by 21 students who studied in the 6th grade of a secondary school selected by the purpose sample method. The research data was collected using the Interview Form (GF) consisting of a semi-configured 5 open end questions. The data is studied by a visual analysis approach. According to the results of the study, most students have shown a positive view on the teaching of mathematics with the game. Students think that mathematics teaching is fun, fun, fun with a game close to all. Again, while the majority of students use positive expressions about the teaching environment with the game, a few students have noted that they were unlike and too noisy. In general, the result was that the student’s views on mathematics teaching and the teaching environment were positive.
