Abstract:

The Turkish world has attracted the interest of the states throughout the history and has frequently mentioned its name with its different geological and geomorphological characteristics, climate specificities and rare natural resources. One of these natural resources is undoubtedly tourism resources.Together with other resources, tourism resources have increased the attractiveness of the area in which they are located. Of course, the geographical location of the area has a special importance in the assessment of this source. Natural resources are sometimes found in areas close to each other and sometimes far from one. Some of them are of particular importance because they are rare in the region, country or world. One of these rare natural resources is the Naftalan Neftid, which is located in the Gence-Kazakh Economic Region of the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan (about 340 km west of Baku). This resource, offered to people's rescue centuries ago, is different by many features from other health tourism sources. In this study, a rare health tourism source of Naftalan oil is located in the city of Naftalan and its nearby surroundings; a different variation of the source is located in the Gence-Kazak economic region (in the light of the current developments in the region) geographical location was assessed, the most important tourism source of the region, certain main characteristics of Naftalan oil have been addressed in terms of health tourism and the importance of the source in the region tourism.
