Bu çalışmada; Eğitim Fakültesi bünyesindeki farklı anabilim dallarında öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının çokkültürlüğe yönelik algılarının tespiti için kullanılabilecek bir ölçek geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirme süreci yürütebilmek için alanyazında önerilen ölçek geliştirme aşamaları özenle takip edilmiştir. Ölçek geliştirme çalışmalarında, geliştirilmesi amaçlanan ölçeğin geçerlik ve güvenirliğinin artırılması için pilot uygulamaların yapılması önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında pilot uygulama yapılmış ve pilot uygulamadan elde edilen veriler ölçeğin güncellenmesi için kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılının birinci yarıyılında eğitim fakültesinde öğrenim gören toplam 240 öğretmen adayından oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılar çalışmaya gönüllülük esası dikkate alınarak amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi ile dâhil edilmiştir. Pilot çalışma sonucunda ölçeklerin geçerlik ve güvenirlik analizleri yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda açımlayıcı faktör analizi (AFA) kullanarak maddeler üzerinde yorumlamalar yapılmış; elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda doğrulayıcı faktör analizi (DFA) uygulanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda toplam 4 boyut ve 24 maddeden oluşan Öğretmen Adaylarının Çokkültürlüğe Yönelik Algıları Ölçeği geliştirilmiştir. Ölçeğe ait Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin değeri KMO= 0.901 ve Barlett Sphericity testi χ2= 2635,178, p= .000 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bu ölçeğin tamamına ilişkin toplam Cronbach’s Alfa güvenirlik katsayısı ise 0.840’dır. AFA sonrası ölçeğe uygulanan DFA sonucunda χ2= 421.83, sd= 243, p= 0.0000, (χ2/sd)= 1.736, RMSEA= 0.55, RMR= 0.066, GFI= 0.87, AGFI= 0.84, NFI= 0.84, NNFI= 0.91, CFI= 0.92 bulunmuştur.
In this study, the aim is to develop a scale that can be used to identify the perceptions of multiculturalism of teachers candidates studying in different fields of education within the Faculty of Education. The proposed scale development stages in the field have been carefully followed in order to carry out a valid and reliable scale development process. In the scale development studies, it is important to carry out pilot practices to increase the validity and reliability of the scale intended to be developed. In this study, the data obtained from the pilot application was made and used to update the scale. The sample of the study consists of a total of 240 teachers candidates studying at the faculty in the first semester of the 2018-2019 educational year. Participants have been included in the study with the aim of the sampling method taking into account the essence of volunteering. The pilot study resulted in validity and reliability analysis of the scales. In this context, interpretations on the substances were made using the analytical factor analysis (AFA) and the verifying factor analysis (DFA) was applied in accordance with the results obtained. The study resulted in a total of 4 dimensions and 24 articles consisting of the Teacher's Candidates' Conceptions to Multiculturalism Scale developed. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value for the scale is calculated as KMO=0.901 and Barlett Sphericity test χ2=2635,178, p= .000. The total Cronbach’s Alfa reliability ratio for the whole of this scale is 0.840. The result of the DFA applied to the post-AFA scale is χ2= 421.83, sd= 243, p= 0.0000, (χ2/sd)= 1.736, RMSEA= 0.55, RMR= 0.066, GFI= 0. 87, AGFI = 0.84, NFI = 0.84, NNFI = 0.91, CFI = 0.92.
