Özet:

The aim of this study is to give information on the Learning Management Systems (LMS) used in foreign language education and its effectiveness on the development of basic language skills, the contributions that it has in the process of individual evaluation, areas of usage, the encountered problems and solutions of them. During the study, the LMS which is especially used in Europe in a common sense is searched in terms of its contributions in the foreign language education and its application criterion. In the last years, it has been seen that distance education and online learning have been effectively used by many educational institutions and not only learning isn’t tied up only classes any more but also online learning tools have many advantages especially on the development of language skills activities. The contributions of these systems are getting increased day by day on the learners’ motor skills and analytic thinking abilities also on the development of competences regarding the ability of solving the different problems fast and practically. In many educational institutions even in primary and secondary educational settings stimulate both technological knowledge and learning process in every level by means of activities like robotic codification; design, code and apply; think, design and code. Today, the LMS are used together with the package program and also open source code systems are developed by the users who have technical infrastructure. Especially in the recent years, we have seen that systems like these have started to be common. In many different departments and areas, digital software’s are used as educational materials. In this study, the different system types designed to be used in foreign language education and their application criterion are planned to be given in a detailed way and in light with these information, the question of “how to use creative and innovative technologies in the process of language education?” will be tried to clarify.
