Abstract:

Contemporary Kyrgyz literature began with the October Revolution of 1917. The theatre style is also the entrance to Kyrgyz literature in this period. The development of the theatrical style, which first entered Kyrgyz literature in the 1920s, was very fast. Although it is not possible to talk about the existence of the Kyrgyz theatre in the modern sense until this time, it is possible to talk about the traditional style of the theatre in the oral folk culture. In fact, after the revolution, the theatre, which has just entered Kyrgyz literature and art in a very short time, has the influence of the traditional Kyrgyz theatre. In Kyrgyzstan, with a rooted and rich verbal literary tradition, many elements that can be called theatre attract attention. In the beginning of these, the "People's Masters of Humor" called "Kudul" comes to mind. It is not a mistake to describe them in a certain sense as Kyrgyz interceptors. Kyrgyz people's comedians, the cuddles meet the public with their own parodies written by a professional theatre actor. In other words, as it is known, when the people of Kyrgyz Republic are referred to as literature, the mind comes first to narrative. The necessity of some parts of the story reminds one by another of the theatrical dialogues, and the necessity of the storymakers to carry the characteristics of the theatrical actors also harmonizes the story with the traditional theatre. Some rituals and games in the wedding ceremonies also carry theatrical characteristics. It is possible to see theatre objects in some of the games played in various entertainment and ceremonies in Kyrgyz social life This study will focus on what are the elements that can be described as "traditional Kyrgyz theatre" within the oral popular culture, what aspects of them approach the theatre and the effects of traditional theatre on contemporary theatre.
