Bu çalışmada; Refik Halid Karay’ın “Gözyaşı” ve “Köpek” başlıklı hikâyeleri, Türkçe, Sosyal Bilgiler, İlköğretim Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi Dersi Öğretim Programları’ndan, Değerler Eğitimi Yönergesi’nden ve İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğünün oluşturduğu Değer Kavram Listesi’nden hareketle belirlenen değerleri içerip içermemesine göre incelenmiştir. Değerler eğitimi sürecinde edebi eserlerin rolü büyüktür çünkü edebiyat ve eğitim arasında sıkı bir bağ bulunmaktadır. Edebiyat, insanın bilişsel dünyasının yanı sıra duyuşsal dünyasına çok daha fazla hitap etmektedir. Çalışmada edebiyatın duygusal zekâ gelişimine katkısından yola çıkılmıştır. Refik Halid Karay hikâyelerinin hangi değerler ile örülü olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu değerlerin eğitimde nasıl kullanılabileceği, değerlerin öğrencilere nasıl iletilebileceği, problem edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin duygu dünyalarında güçlü bir etki yaratabilme amacı, çalışmanın çıkış noktasıdır. Vaka çalışması modelinde, bütüncül tek vaka deseninde tasarlanan araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman inceleme tekniği kullanılmıştır (Yıldırım, Şimşek, 2016. Yin, 2011. Creswell, 2012). Çalışmada kullanılan Refik Halid Karay’ın Gurbet Hikâyeleri adlı eseri İnkılap Yayınevi’nden temin edilmiştir. Yayınevi, yazarın adını Refik Halid Karay şeklinde kullandığından yazarın adı Refik Halit Karay şeklinde yazılmamış ve aynı şekilde muhafaza edilmiştir. Eserde yer alan “Gözyaşı” ve “Köpek” başlıklı hikâyeler, ayrıntılı bir şekilde okunmuş ve hikâyelerin içerdikleri değerler fişleme yöntemiyle gruplandırılmıştır. Çalışmada; değer kavramının ne olduğu ve öneminin açıklanmasının ardından araştırmanın yöntemi hakkında bilgi verilmiş, tespit edilen değerlerin hangi cümlelerle iletildiği ortaya konulmuş ve ardından önerilere yer verilmiştir.
In this study; Refik Halid Karay's stories entitled "Tears" and "Köpek" have been studied according to whether they contain the values determined by movement from the Turkish, Social Information, Primary Education Religious Culture and Ethical Information Course Teaching Programs, the Value Education Guidelines and the Value Concept List that the Provincial National Education Directorate creates. The role of literary works in the process of values education is great because there is a close connection between literature and education. Literature is much more referring to the world of the human mind as well as to the sensual world. The study has led to the contribution of literature to emotional intelligence development. Refik Halid Karay has been identified with what values the stories are. It has been questioned how these values can be used in education, how the values can be transmitted to students. The goal of being able to create a strong influence on the emotional worlds of students is the starting point of study. In the case study model, the research designed in a comprehensive single case model has used the document examination technique from the quality research methods (Ray, Lightning, 2016. Yin in 2011. Creswell in 2012). The work of Refik Halid Karay's Gurbet Stories used in the study was provided from the Inkılap Publisher. The publisher used the author's name in the form of Refik Halid Karay, and the author's name was not written in the form of Refik Halit Karay and was retained in the same way. The stories entitled "The Tears" and "The Dog" in the work are read in detail, and the values contained in the stories are grouped by the method of flaming. In the study; what the concept of value is and what its importance is explained after information on the method of the research was given, which sentences of the identified values were transmitted and then the recommendations were placed.
