Gelir dağılımı, birçok ekonomik değişkenle ilintili olsa da en fazla büyüme ile irtibatlandırılır. Ne var ki ekonomik büyüme ile gelir dağılımı arasındaki ilişki iktisadi terminolojinin tartışmalı konularından biri olmaya devam etmektedir. Teorik olarak ekonomi büyüdüğünde gelir dağılımının düzelmesi beklenirken incelenen süre, konjonktürel durum, sosyo-ekonomik yapı ve ülkelerin gelişmişlik düzeyine göre farklı sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Beklenti ile gerçek yaşam arasındaki bu farklılık yeni çalışma ihtiyacını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu çalışmada 1980-2017 verilerini kullanarak Türkiye’de ekonomik büyüme ile gelir dağılımı arasındaki ilişki incelenmiş, elde edilen bulgulara göre iki değişken arasında kısa dönemde negatif, uzun dönemde pozitif bir ilişkinin olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
Income distribution is associated with many economic variables and is associated with growth. However, the relationship between economic growth and income distribution remains one of the controversial topics of economic terminology. Theoretically, when the economy grows, the improvement of the income distribution is expected while the time examined has achieved different results according to the contextual situation, the socio-economic structure and the level of development of the countries. This difference between expectation and real life has revealed the need for new work. In this study, using the 1980-2017 data, the relationship between economic growth and income distribution in Turkey was studied, according to the findings obtained, there was a short-term negative, long-term positive relationship between the two variables.
