According to Maslow hierarchy physiological needs have priority for human beings. Feeding have ultimate share on physiological needs. Nowadays catering firms are active on markets to meet feeding needs of people. It is estimated that services sector has increased its share on economy while Turkey is achieving development targets in the directions of 2023 targets. The aim of this study is to analyze competition between Kastamonu catering firms, to handle problems of sector, to determine strategies to be followed for development, to determine contribution to Kastamonu economy. To this aim face to face method is applied to owners and top managers of Kastamonu catering firms between 1 October and 30 November 2016 and data are collected. By these data SWOT analysis of Kastamonu catering firms are done, barriers to entry and exit are detected and competition strategies of firms, vertical and data about horizontal integration are obtained.
