Abstract:

The aim of this study is to evaluate the adequacy of the undergraduate programs of the Department of Primary Education, to bring professional values ​​to the educational stakeholders. This study was designed in the context study of qualitative research methods. The data of the study were collected in semi-structured interviews conducted with the participants during the 2016-2017 academic year. Participants include a total of 30 participants from the teachers, school administrators and classroom teachers who work in Rize Provincial Directorate of National Education. Purpose sampling method was used in determining the study group. Semi-structured interviews were held with the participants. The data were analysed using a computer aided qualitative data analysis program. The data produced without work are given under two themes in the theoretical framework of the subject area. These are the themes; (i) the level of complementation vocational qualification of the undergraduate degree programs, (ii) suggestions were made about how to increase professional values ​​through reflection of participants in the study.
