Özet Bu araştırmada, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıf Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki okuma parçalarında yer alan çocuk imgelerinin saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, 2010-2011 ve 2011-2012 eğitim öğretim yılında kullanılan üçer ders kitabı incelenmiştir. 6 ders kitabında yer alan toplam 180 parçanın 58’inde çocuk kavramına yer verildiği belirlenmiş ve “çocuk” kavramının kullanım bağlamlarından yola çıkarak çocuk imgeleri betimlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma, okuma parçalarında yaratılan çocuk imgesinin güncel eğitim ve evrensel insan anlayışıyla ne denli örtüştüğünün sınanması bakımından önem taşımaktadır. Eğitim sisteminin varsaydığı çocuk imgesinin ortaya konması ve anlaşılması, aslında eğitim sisteminin çocuklar için nasıl bir eğitim önerdiğini de ortaya koyacaktır.
This study aims to identify the children’s images in the reading parts of the Classes 6, 7 and 8 Turkish lessons. For this purpose, the three curricula used in the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 educational years has been studied. In the total of 180 pieces included in the 6 lesson books, 58 were identified as included in the concept of child and the concept of "child" was attempted to describe the child's images, starting from the context of use of the concept. The research is of importance for the examination of how much the child’s image created in the reading pieces matches with the current education and universal human understanding. The discovery and understanding of the child’s image that the educational system assumes will also reveal how the educational system proposes education for the children.
