Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to identify the reading difficulties that classmates encounter and the practices they do to address these difficulties. The work is carried out by the method of special situation study used in research quality. The data was obtained by a semi-configured conversation technique with 10 class teachers working in Trabzon, Silverhouse and Rize. The data was analyzed by basic level and content analysis. The research finds that classmates experience many reading difficulties and use various practices to solve them. It has been found that teachers see their practices partly effective but they do not see themselves literally sufficient. For the removal of reading difficulties, various recommendations have been presented, such as organizing practical seminars for parents, students and teachers or creating appropriate environments for teachers to model their students.
