Bu araştırmanın amacı, sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin 6. ve 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersi öğrenci çalışma kitaplarının kullanım durumlarıyla ilgili görüşlerini tespit etmek ve bu konuda uygulamada karşılaşılan güçlükleri ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma, 2010-2011 eğitim-öğretim yılında, Rize ili ve ilçelerindeki 53 farklı ilköğretim okullarında yürütülmüş ve toplam 80 öğretmene ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın verilerine göre; çalışma kitaplarının niteliği ve içeriği, ders süresi, öğrencilerin hazır bulunuşluk düzeyleri ve dersliklerin fiziki yapılarıyla ilgili sorunlar nedeniyle ilköğretim II. kademe sosyal bilgiler ders sürecinde, öğrenci çalışma kitaplarının kullanımıyla ilgili çeşitli problemlerin olduğu ve sınıf içerisinde programın ön gördüğü şekilde kullanılmadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarından hareketle çalışma kitaplarının daha etkili kullanılması için çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The purpose of this research is to identify the opinions of the social information teachers of the 6th and 7th classes of social information classes on the conditions of use of the student workbooks and to reveal the difficulties encountered in the practice in this regard. The research, in the 2010-2011 educational year, was carried out in 53 different primary schools in Rize and its districts and reached a total of 80 teachers. According to the research data; the nature and content of the study books, the course time, the level of student preparation and the physical structure of the classrooms due to problems in primary education II. In the course of the course, there are various problems related to the use of student workbooks and they are not used in the classroom in the way the program is anticipated. A number of recommendations have been made for the more effective use of the study books.
