Plastik ve görsel iletişim sanatlarından biri olan seramiğin, tasarım ilke ve elemanları açısından kavram, fikir, metin gibi sözel unsurları yüzeysel ve üç boyutlu betimleyen, yorumlayan ve birçok alanda olduğu gibi tıp eğitiminde de kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Seramik sanatı eğitim, sanat disiplinleri, bilim, teknoloji ve kimya biliminin bir araya gelerek oluşturduğu disiplinler arası bir alandır. Bu nedenle, sağlık alnındaki teorik bilgi ve deneyimleri görselliğe ve üç boyuta dönüştürerek anlaşılabilir ve kavranabilir bir hale getirilmesinde seramik eğitimi önemli ve etkili bir rol üstlenmektedir. Tıp eğitiminde bilginin yüzeysel ve üçboyutlu görselleştirilerek iletilmesinde sanatın geleneksel yöntemlerinin kullanılması yanında, günümüzün teknolojik olanaklarıyla daha da zenginleşen ifade yöntemleri seramiğe olan ilgiyi artmıştır. Bu ilgi, çağdaş eğitim ve sanat eğitimi anlayışında bilgi aktarımı ile birlikte kişiye beceri kazandırmayı, yeteneklerini bilim ve tekniği kullanarak geliştirmeyi, düşünsel, sanatsal ve kültürel alanda yeni ürünler ortaya çıkarabilen birey ve toplumlara ulaşmayı amaç edinme şeklinde görülmektedir. Tıp öğrencilerinin aldıkları seramik eğitimi, diğer sanat disiplinleri ile verilmekte, estetik, psiko motor becerileri ve yaratıcı düşünme süreçlerine katkı sağladığı yazarların daha önceki çalışmalarında ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, İnönü Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Dönem I ve II öğrencilerinin ilk kez aldıkları seramik eğitimi dersine devam eden öğrencilerden 12 kadın ve 10 erkek öğrencinin çalışmaları arasında random yöntemiyle yedi öğrencinin çalışmaları seçilmiştir. Buna göre, seramik çalışmaları yapım teknikleri, biçim, süsleme, renk özellikleri ve anlatım dili açısından, plastik sanatlar analiz yöntemi ve kendilerini ifade edebilmeleri açısından incelenmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Seramik eğitimi sonunda üç uzman tarafından hazırlanan nitel anket tıp öğrencilerine uygulanmış ve bulgular tablo halinde sunularak okumaları gerçekleştirilmiştir. Buna göre, tıp öğrencilerinin seramik eğitiminde kazandıkları farklı beceriler ilerde seçecekleri uzmanlık alanlarını belirlemede etkili olabileceği görüşlerine de yer verilmiştir.
From the point of view of the design principles and elements of ceramics, which is one of the art of plastic and visual communication; the verbal elements such as concepts, ideas, texts appear to be used in the medical education, as in many fields, to represent, interpret and interpret the surface and three-dimensional elements. Ceramic art is an interdisciplinary field in which education, art disciplines, science, technology and chemistry form together. Therefore, ceramic training plays an important and effective role in making the theoretical knowledge and experience in the field of health visible and comprehensible by transforming it into three-dimensional. In medical education, in addition to the use of traditional methods of art in the transmission of knowledge by superficial and tri-dimensional visualization, the methods of expression, which are even more enriched with today’s technological possibilities, have increased interest in ceramics. This interest is seen in the form of the purpose of acquiring skills to the individual along with the transfer of information in the understanding of contemporary education and art education, developing their abilities using science and technology, and reaching individuals and communities that can bring new products in the mental, artistic and cultural field. The ceramic education that medical students receive is provided with other art disciplines, and has been revealed in previous studies of authors that they have contributed to the aesthetic, psycho-motor skills and creative thinking processes. In this study, the study of seven students by random method was selected between the studies of 12 women and 10 male students from the students who continued to the ceramic training course they first received from the I and II period of the University of Inönü Faculty of Medicine. Accordingly, ceramic works have been studied and evaluated in terms of manufacturing techniques, shapes, decoration, color characteristics and narrative language, plastic arts in terms of method of analysis and their ability to express themselves. The qualification survey prepared by three specialists at the end of the ceramic training was applied to medical students and the findings were presented in the table and the readings were carried out. Accordingly, the opinions that the different skills they gain in ceramic education of medical students may be effective in determining the fields of specialization they will choose in the future.
It is observed that ceramics, one of the plastic and visual communication arts, a domain which describes and superficially and three-dimensionally interprets verbal elements such as concepts, ideas, and text in terms of design principles and elements, is also used in medical education, as it is in many fields. Ceramic art is an interdisciplinary domain juxtaposed by education, art disciplines, science, technology and chemistry. For this reason, ceramics education plays a crucial and prominent role to make the theoretical knowledge and experience in health more understandable and comprehensible by transforming them into visibility and three dimensions. Besides the use of the traditional methods of art in conveying information through superficial and three dimensional visualization in medical education, the expression methods more enriched by today’s technological possibilities has increased the interest in ceramics. This interest is reflected in contemporary education and art education as the acquisition of purpose to make individuals acquire skills along with the transfer of the information, to develop their potential and talents through science and technology, and to reach individuals and societies capable of creating new products in the intellectual, artistic and cultural fields. Ceramics education the medical students take is provided jointly by other art disciplines. This education has been revealed to contribute to aesthetics, psycho-motor skills and creative thinking processes in previous studies by authors. In this study, seven students’ works were randomly selected out of the works of 12 female and 10 male students among Faculty of Medicine, Inonu University, Term I and II students who have attended to ceramics education course for the first time. Accordingly, ceramic works were assessed in terms of construction techniques, form, ornamentation, color characteristics and narrative language, while plastic arts were evaluated in terms of analysis methods and self-expression. At the end of the ceramics training, the qualitative questionnaire developed by three experts was administered to the medical students and the findings were presented in tables. Accordingly, it is also highlighted medical students’ opinion that the different skills they gain though ceramic education may have an influence in determining the areas of specialization in the future
