Mathematics is generally considered by students as being an abstract, a boring lesson because of its irrelevance to the daily life, and it caused to a negative attitude and a general failure among the students. It has been observed that this negative attitude increases more and more. Seeing that there is such a general failure among student, we learn that this causes to a prompting reason for the student’s unwilling and negative view of the lesson, and we conclude that we must focus on learning what the difficulties are when learning mathematics. According to this point of view; we aim to determine students’ learning difficulties of fraction range, addition, subtraction, multiplication and fraction problems. The subject of this study consist of total 56 5fh class students who are continue in Cumhuriyet primary education school and Oltu primary education school, in centre of Oltu county, in Erzurum cities. In order to test research hypothesis frequency used. According to the results obtained from study, it is showed that though the students do not have difficulty in learning certain related concepts, definitions, formulas and operational subjects about fraction range, addition, subtraction, multiplication and fraction problems; whereas they do have difficulty in practicing these obtained data.
