In this study the level of teachers’ problem solving skills which is an impor- tant part of daily life and social adaptation is investigated. The sample of the study is 163 primary school teachers working in the city center of Ağrı in 2008. The data were collected using Problem Solving Inventory which was initially developed by Heppner and Petersen (1982) and then adapted to Turkish by Şahin, Şahin and Heppner (1993). In order to analyze the data, percentage, frequency, mean, t test and One Way Anova were used. As a result of the study it is found out that teachers perceived their problem solving skill levels as “high” (a bit higher than medium).
