Abstract:

Today, considering that lifelong learning occurs in almost every moment of our lives, it can be said that the learning processes are also affected by the means of mass communication that quickly enter the areas of life of individuals. Specifically in the mass media, the broad use and visibility of television attracting the viewers to themselves causes individuals to be involved in their lives while also enabling perception to learn. It is also an important question that comes to us with the history series that are spreading on television and how the students get the perception of lifelong learning. In the study to investigate this topic, data were collected with the scan model used from quantitative research models "The scale of lifelong learning perception with historical series" and "Television Monitoring Status Form". The sample of the study consists of 1049 students who have studied in the last classes of high school and secondary education institutions (class 8 and 12) selected with a layer sample in the 2015-2016 educational year in Bartın Illi.
