In the new development concept that determines the happiness of people as the main target, improving social welfare indicators such as education and health is very important. For this reason, besides the welfare of the general population, countries take the necessary measures to ensure that employees, which are the most important elements of production, work in a happy and safe environment. In this study, the relationship between human development levels of countries and occupational accidents was investigated. In this context, the correlation and the independent group t-test analyses have been conducted by using the SPSS program. In the result of the correlation analysis conducted in the study, as expected, it has been observed that there is a negative correlation between human development levels of countries and mortality accidents rate. According to the independent group t-test, a statistically significant difference was found between the countries with the very high human development level and other countries in terms of mortality accidents rate. The countries with very high levels of human development have a lower mortality accidents rate average than the other countries; This result may be interpreted as lower accidents rate in countries with higher human development levels.
