Siyasal reklamcılık, siyasal parti veya adayın seçmen tarafından bilinirliliğin arttırılması, seçmenin oy verme davranışına yöneltilmesi, verilmek istenilen mesajların kamuoyuna aktarılması, siyasi konularda bilgilendirilmesi için oldukça önemli bir kavramdır. Siyasal reklamlarda adayın veya partinin vaatlerine, politikalarına ve parti programlarına yer verilmekte, seçmen parti lehine ikna edilmeye çalışmaktadır. Şüphe ise iknanın önündeki en büyük engellerden bir tanesidir. Seçmenlerin şüphe duyma sebepleri tespit edilebilirse seçmeni ikna edecek alternatifler de ortaya çıkarılabilir. Siyasal reklamlarda tanıtılan siyasal parti/adayın ne kadar gerçekçi olduğu sorunu ve bunun sonucunda da bir güvensizliğin oluşup oluşmadığı durumu önemli bir problemdir. Bu çalışma, seçmenin siyasal reklamlara karşı şüpheci yaklaşımını incelemek ve kuşaklar arası farklılıkları ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini Isparta il merkezinde yaşayan Baby Boomers, X ve Y kuşaklarındaki seçmenler oluşturmaktadır. 481 seçmenle yüz yüze görüşülerek nicel bir araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda eğitim durumu bağlamında siyasal reklamlara karşı şüpheci yaklaşım ile inanç ve güvensizlik faktörleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Siyasal reklamlar ile parti tercihlerindeki değişkenlik durumu karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz edildiğinde, Baby Boom’ların X ve Y kuşağında yer alan seçmenlere göre daha kararlı oldukları ve seçimden uzun bir süre önce parti tercihlerini belirledikleri, ayrıca Baby Boomers kuşağının diğer kuşaklara göre siyasal reklamlardan daha az etkilendiği sonucuna varılmıştır.
Political advertising is a very important concept for increasing the awareness of the political party or candidate by the voter, directing the voter to the voting behavior, the transmission of the messages requested to be given to the public, and the information of political issues. Political advertisements include the promises, policies and party programs of the candidate or party, the voter tries to be convinced in favor of the party. The doubt is one of the great obstacles before the conviction. If the reasons for voters’ doubt can be identified, alternatives to convince the voter can also be revealed. The question of how realistic the political party/member is presented in political advertising and the result of this is the situation where an uncertainty occurs or not is an important problem. This study was conducted with the aim of examining the doubtful approach of voters to political advertising and to reveal the differences between generations. The universe of the study is formed by voters from the Baby Boomers, X and Y generations living in the center of the Isparta province. 481 voters face-to-face examinations were carried out. The study found that there was a significant difference between the suspicious approach to political advertising and the factors of belief and uncertainty in the context of the educational situation. When comparative analysis of the variability of political advertising and party preferences, the result was that the Baby Boom were more stable than the voters in the X and Y generations and determined party preferences a long time before the election, and the Baby Boomers generations were less affected by political advertising than the other generations.
