TÜRKİYE'DE 2002 - 20055 YILLARI ARASINDA UYGULANAN DEZENFLASYON PROGRAMININ DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Kütahya is between Ageon Region and Middle Anatolian Region, in Internal Western Anatolian Part. According to the census of population done in the year 2000, the population of the city is 656.903, 83.64% of which is literate. In pre – school education, there are 92 schools, 2113 students, 101 teachers in the city Kütahya. 85 % of them are in the villages. Physical capacity of the schools in the towns are insufficient. Kindergartens are not provided with enough financial support. In primary education, there are 360 schools, 73.767 students and 3512 teachers in the whole city. In 155 schools, education is done in classrooms with students from different classes. In 32 schools, half of the students go to the school in the morning and half of them in the afternoon. 12.000 students in 528 villages attend 101 different schools in the towns. In secondary education, there are 74 schools, 24.000 student and 1441 teachers. 55% of the students attend general high schools and 45% of them attend technical vocational high schools. 79% of the students continue their education after eight year – primary education. The number of the male students who continue their education is much more greater than that of females. In this article, we will have a general look at pre – school, primary and secondary education in Kütahya, present the related problems and suggest some solutions to these problems
