The determination of efficiency and revealing the trends in the development of agricultural enterprises from the point of view of ensuring their economic security is rather relevant issue at present. Taking into account the peculiarity of agricultural produbtion, the author determines the following components of economic security, among which financial, resource and technical, personnel, production, ecological, and sale are singled out. The general dynamics of development of each separate component is analyzed and determined that the indices of financial state are characterized by enterprises’ economic efficiency, namely, decreasing in unprofitable and increasing in profitable enterprises. The indices of provision the enterprises with assests also show positive shifts. The resource and technical constituent is characterized by essential descrease in the quantity of the existing technical facilities in the enterprises, however, the introduced equipment possesses higher capacity and output. The personnel constituent requires immediate reconsidering as the outflow of specialists and young people from rural areas demands taking fast measures to control actions concerning the growth of the prestige of farming and development of rural infrastructure. Job safety in the enterprises of the field is characterized by positive changes; therefore, the enterprises work effectively growing all the indices and ensuring in that way the food security of the state. As for environmental safety, it is characterized by the negative situation when many enterprises increase the volumes of adding chemical fertilizers to soil and increase the volumes of industrial crops. The sale constituent shows that the export of agricultural enterprises’ produce prevails the import though the volumes of the export also decreases.
