Özet:

 The article analyzes the commodity and geographical structure of foreign trade ofUkraine, investigates the practical areas of export policy, estimates the economic effects of the establishment of the free trade area betweenUkraine and the EU. Improving the export policy by changing the export specialization makes it necessary to study the objective basis of the formation and implementation mechanisms of the economic potential, practical and theoretical issues to the problem concerned. Implementation of the European integration model is the optimal option for the development of export potential and the whole Ukrainian economy. The reason is that the developed countries ofEuropehave accumulated a huge modern export-import potential. Thus, signing the agreement on free trade area is the future ofUkraine.
