Abstract:

Short short story which centres on the problem of human’s existence consists of limited number of words. It has became widespread in the world literature from the second half of the 20th century. It is seen that in Turkish literature as well, especially as from the beginning of the 1990s, the patterns of the short short story have increased more and more in the writings of various authors. One of the prominent writers of the short short story in Turkish literature is Ferit Edgü. In this article, the textual characteristics of the short short stories in his book called Nijinski Öyküleri, which Ferit Edgü fictionalized being inspired from the diaries that Vaslav Nijinski, a famous dancing master, kept in Switzerland in 1919, are tried to be determined within the context of rewriting and intertextuality. Besides, as a short form, the place of the short short story in the other short form texts will be emphasized and some determinations will be expressed.
