Bu makalede, hemen her Türk’ün farklı yoğunluklarda hissetmek, hatta yüzleşmek zorunda kaldığı Batı toplumundaki Türk imajı tartışılmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda hazırlanan çalışma, üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde “imaj” kavramı, kavramsal derinliği içinde ele alınmakta ve siyasal bir olgu olarak “uluslararası ilişkilerde imaj” kavramı incelenmektedir. İkinci bölümde, Yeni Dünya Düzeni’nde öne çıkan imaj-değer algısı ve bu algının hegemonik yönü üstünde durulmaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde ise, Doğu’nun ve Türkiye’nin Batı’daki imajı ile bu imajın arkaplanı çözümlenmektedir.
This article discusses the Turkish image in the Western society where almost every Turk must feel, and even face, in different intensities. The work prepared in this direction consists of three sections. In the first part, the concept of "image" is addressed in the conceptual depth and the concept of "image in international relations" is studied as a political fact. The second part focuses on the image-value perception that stands out in the New World Order and the hegemonic direction of this perception. In the third part, the image of the East and Turkey in the West is resolved with the background of this image.
