Abstract:

The bibliographs in which the studies on the same subject are classified by specific criteria are one of the main application sources for academic studies. A. Esat Bozyiğit’s bibliographic work published in 1995, the master’s thesis prepared by Dilek Keleş in 1996 and Saim Sakaoğlu’s work “Turkish Ad Science I Introduction” published in 2001, unfortunately there is no collective bibliographic source. In recent years, an increase in special studies on the sub-divisions of the ad science rather than the general ad science and the oldness of the existing sources also require the current bibliographs of the sub-divisions. This study is related to the science of the names of persons (antroponim), the name of land science (toponym), the name of mountains science (horonym) and the name of water science (hydronim). The names, spots and surname are also included in the antroponic examination area. This experiment is limited to Turkish people's names. Because the nation contains very important aspects related to its social and cultural qualities, the names of persons have a privileged place among the names. In this bibliography experiment, the sources related to the subject were ranked by subtitles: books/books, dictionaries, theses, articles, reports, newspapers, general network people’s names dictionaries and software/applications. Although first prepared for commercial purposes, far from scientific knowledge, some smart phone applications have also been listed with studies that may still be useful in their assessment. There are no doubt a number of shortcomings in this trial that contains the sources of Turkish people's names.
