Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to conduct validity and reliability studies of the scale of critical thinking obstacles. A total of 19 experts have been requested for the opinion of 86 items created as a result of the scan of the field. The scale of 54 articles was applied to 11 students and their opinions were taken. The draft scale was applied to 566 bachelor students to be developed. The application was carried out at a state university in Turkey. 59.7 percent of students (338) are women and 40.3 percent (228) are men. The factor loads of substances in the scale range from 0.388-0.677. According to the analysis of the factor, the variance is 40.454 percent. The KMO of the ELDEN scale is 0.892, the Bartlett test value is 3.783E3 (Sd=378, p=0,000). The sub-themes of the scale; the logic cannot be executed, I have been identified as centralism, faith in authority and self-confidence. There are 10 articles on the subject of logic, 6 articles on the subject of centralism, 6 articles on the subject of faith in authority and 4 articles on self-confidence. Equivalent tests and test-up test applications have been performed. The two half-correlation ratio is calculated at 0.74. The Cronbach Alpha ratio for the entire scale was calculated on the answers given by 566 students and the result was 0.87. According to the verification factor analysis on the AMOS program, the results of RMSEA, SRMR, GFI and AGFI show that the model is in strong harmony. By moving from these results, it can be said that the ELDEN scale meets the criteria to be a valid scale.
