Abstract:

It is very important to train students to have the skills to make financial decisions in their future lives. For this purpose; the 7th class math lesson programmes and the 7th class math lesson book have been studied in terms of supporting financial literature since the 2013 academic year. In the analysis of the data, PISA (2015) was based on the dimensions of financial literature and mathematical literature. In the study, the written document analysis technique was used. The National Education Ministry has selected one of the random books that are considered as a curriculum for a period of five years, starting from the 2016 educational year. The results of the study show that the mathematics programs and mathematics curriculum are covered by financial literature. In the review, many numbers and processes show that the achievements and contexts in the field of undergraduate learning are related to financial literature. In the analysis of data, percentage and frequency values are calculated. In the research, it is recommended that problems related to the risk and return content are also included in the curricula. It is also recommended that more projects and performance tasks are added to the books to support the implementation of the fifth and sixth-level issues identified in the PISA mathematical literature qualification scale and the process size related to the application of financial knowledge.
