Abstract:

In this study we discussed the literary reflection of the conflicts between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which is also referred to as the "Armenian issue". It is also focused on the reasons for the outcome of the events in the mountainous Karabakh region, which are from the tensions positions in the Armenian issue, and how chaotic relations are opposed to literary works.                 The conflicts that emerged have affected the Azerbaijani Turks and Armenians in a social, cultural, political and psychological negative direction. This struggle environment, which has also sharply influenced literature, has a significant place in the Azerbaijani literary history. At the end of the 1980s, when Karabakh was occupied by the Armenians, war psychology and the idea of national unity appeared clearly in Azerbaijan literature. From the considerations of contemporary Azerbaijani literature, the names such as Anar Rızayev, Bahtiyar Vahabzade, Nebî Hazri, Sâbir Rüstemhanlı, Messengers Efendiyev and Ismail Şıhlı take note of works that emphasize the importance of national unity and cohesion.   It is necessary that they themselves, if necessary, follow the Azerbaijani, and address the issue of Armenia as a serious issue in their works.                 The Armenian issue, which is not limited only to Azerbaijan literature, is also widely faced with us in the literature of the Turkish people. In Turkey, there is a lot of novelists and historians in their works that deal with the Turkish-Armenian relations with negative aspects. However, there are also those who evaluate their relationships from a positive point of view. Those who have shown a positive approach have highlighted cultural similarities between peoples, supported mutual moderate attitudes and found the reasons for hostile approach. Romantics with a positive approach have focused on similarities and common points in language and literature in particular. However, some writers in Azerbaijan and Turkey have processed the elements of the "abduction" and "examination" from the Turks in their works of Armenian folk literature and folklore by keeping the historical reality connected.
