In this study, a model of economic performance measurement was developed to compare the economic development of Turkey and the European Union (EU) countries using the 2016 economic indicators. "National income per person", "economic growth", "unemployment rate", "budget gap", "public debt rate", "inflation rate", "balance of search transactions" and "balance of external trade" criteria are based on multi-dimensional decision-making methods and the economic performance of the EU countries is achieved with the help of the developed model. The weight of the measurements was determined by the analytical hierarchy process (AHS), while the country’s economic indicators were evaluated using the methods Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS), Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) and Grey Relational Analysis (GIA). As a result of the analysis, the countries were ranked at a low level according to their economic performance. According to economic indicators, the country with the performance is Germany, and the bad country is Greece. Turkey has found its place in the last place.
indicators of 2016. Using the model developed in this study, the economic performance of the EU countries has been measured based on the criteria including “national income per capita", "economic growth", "unemployment rate", "budget deficit", "public debt ratio", "inflation rate", "current account balance", and " foreign trade balance". Weights of the criteria were determined through Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), while Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS), Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS), and Gray Relational Analysis (GIA) were used in the assessment of the countries according to the economic indicators. In the light of the results obtained from the analysis, the countries are ranked at a decreasing level according to their economic performances. According to the economic indicators, the country with the best performance was found to be Germany, while Greece was the worst. Turkey was also among the worst countries.
