This research aims to determine the levels of crisis management skills displayed by the managers in public primary schools and whether or not the levels of crisis management skills displayed by the managers differ significantly on the basis of gender and seniority of teachers. The population of the research- which was conducted using the quantitative method- was composed of the teachers working in the public primary schools located in the central district of Çanakkale province. The research sample, however, was composed of 404 teachers selected randomly from the population in the 2011-2012 academic year. The data were collected through the Scale of Primary School Principals’ Crisis Management Skills, which was developed by Aksu and Deveci (2009). Mainly two results were obtained in the research: 1) The public primary school managers were found to be at “moderate level” in terms of crisis management skills in general and in all sub-dimensions. 2) While there were no significant differences between teachers’ views of the levels of crisis management skills displayed by primary school managers in terms of gender, significant differences were found in terms of seniority
