The considerable increases in the transnational capital flows have been experienced in the world after acceleration of globalization process and transition of many countries to the strategy of export-led growth as of 1980s. In this context, especially foreign direct investment inflows have become an important resource for the economic growth of a great number of countries with savings gap.Many countries have used the financial incentives as a policy instrument to attract the foreign direct investments. This study researches the effect of financial incentives on the foreign direct investment inflows in Turkey over the January 2006-January 2016 period with ARDL cointegration approach and causality test of Toda and Yamamoto (1995). We revealed that financial incentives affected the inflows of foreign direct investment positively over the long run
