city sustainability is related to considering social, economic and environmental factors for existing residents while considering the interest of people who will live there in the future. The aim of this study is to analyze large cities that have the most population and therefore consume the most resources according to sustainability criteria and pre- senting guiding suggestions for future urban planning in terms of sustainability. According to this aim 30 large cities in the Turkey are modeled as a Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem with major indicators which explain econo- mic, social and environmental dimensions of city sustainability. The decision prob- lem analyzed by TOPSIS method. Also, the strategic plans of the metropolitans were analyzed and it was tried to relate strategic goals with sustainability dimen- sions.
