Çalışmanın amacı “Belediyelerin gerçekleştirdiği sürdürülebilirlik uygulamalarının destinasyon turistik hizmet kalitesinin artırılmasında, destinasyon ekosistemi paydaş rollerini de dikkate alarak, etkinliğinin araştırılması” olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada ayrıca, belediyelerin sürdürülebilirlik çalışmalarında destinasyon temelli bir ekosistem yaklaşımıyla paydaşları ile gerçekleştirdiği işbirliklerinin yapısı da dikkate alınmaktadır. Ek olarak, söz konusu destinasyon temelli turizm ekosistemi paydaşlarının sürdürülebilirlik çalışmalarında oynadığı roller, bu rollerin gerek sürdürülebilirliğe gerekse destinasyon hizmet kalitesine etkisine konuları da çalışmanın ilgi alanında bulunmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında elde edilen araştırma bulguları değerlendirildiğinde belediyelerin sürdürülebilirlik çalışmalarının turistik hizmet kalitesine etkilerine yönelik üç önemli faktör a)Destinasyon temelinde makro ve mikro boyutta iletişim kalitesi ve teknik birikim b)Nitelikli personel ihtiyacı c)Destinasyon sürdürülebilirlik faaliyetlerinin tanıtımda ortak kaynak ve eylem planı belirlenmiştir. Bu faktörlere ilişkin olarak belediyelerin gerçekleştireceği eylemler sürdürülebilirlik çalışmalarının turistik hizmet kalitesini ve turistik talebi olumlu etkilemesini sağlayacaktır.
The objective of the study is to "foresee the effectiveness of sustainability practices by the municipalities in improving the quality of destination tourism services, taking into account the stakeholders of the destination ecosystem as well." The study also takes into account the structure of cooperation that municipalities carry out with their stakeholders with a destination-based ecosystem approach in their sustainability studies. In addition, the roles of the stakeholders of the destination-based tourism ecosystem in the sustainability studies are also in the field of interest of the study on the impact of these roles on the quality of the destination service. When the research findings obtained within the framework of the study are assessed, three key factors are concerned with the impact of municipal sustainability work on the quality of tourist services; a)Destination based macro and micro-dimensional communication quality and technical accumulation; b)Qualified staff needs; c)Destination sustainability activities are promoted by a common resource and action plan. The actions that the municipalities will take in relation to these factors will ensure that sustainability work will have a positive impact on the quality of tourist services and tourist demand.
Purpose of this study is determined as “investigating the effectiveness of the sustainability practices executed by the municipalities to increase the quality of the destination tourist service by considering destination ecosystems stakeholder roles”. The study also takes into account the structure of the partnerships that municipalities carry out with their stakeholders through a destination-based ecosystem approach in their sustainability implementations. In addition, the role that such destination-based tourism ecosystem stakeholders play in sustainability implementations, the impact of these roles on sustainability and also on the destination service quality are of interest to study. When the research findings of this study obtained, three important factors has been determined related to the effects of municipalities’ sustainability implementations on touristic service quality. These foctors are: a) Communication quality in macro and micro dimension on the basis of destination and technical knowledge b) Qualified personnel need c) Common resource and action plan for promoting destination sustainability implementations. Actions taken by the municipalities on these factors will ensure that sustainability implementations will positively affect the touristic service quality and tourist demand.
