ADANA’DA BULUNAN SAĞALTMA OCAKLARINDA TEDAVİ YÖNTEMLERİ VE BU OCAKLARDA TEDAVİ SIRASINDA KULLANILAN MALZEMELER

İnsanlık tarihi ne kadar eskiyse hastalıklardan korunma ve tedavi yöntemlerini arama gayreti de aynı oranda eskidir. Türk halk kültürü içinde halk hekimliğinin ve bu çevredeki uygulamaların önemli bir yeri vardır. İnsanlar yüzyıllardır hastalıklardan ve hastalığa neden olan şeylerden korunma mücadelesi verirken aynı zamanda sağlıklı bir şekilde uzun ömür yaşamanın yollarını da aramışlardır.  Bu arayışlarında insanların ilk başvurdukları kurum, ocak adı verilen sağaltma merkezleri olmuştur. Türkistan’dan Anadolu’ya Türkler tarafından taşınan bu şifa ocakları bu arayış ve amaç doğrultusunda ortaya çıkmış ve işlerliğini günümüze kadar getirmiştir. Hastalık sağaltımı yapılan bu ocaklarda hastalığın tespiti ve tedavisi sırasında sergilenen birçok uygulama erken dönem Türk inanç sisteminin izlerini taşımaktadır. Bu izler kullanılan malzemeden yapılan bitki ve maden kökenli birçok eme kadar Erken dönem Türk İnanç sisteminin tezahürüdür. Zaman içerisinde yapılış sebepleri unutulsa da birçok uygulama aslını aynen korumuştur. Erken dönem Türk İnançlarının izlerini taşıyan sağaltma ocakları ve bunlara bağlı uygulamalar - Anadolu’nun birçok yerinde olduğu gibi- Adana’da da yaygın olarak devam etmektedir. Sağaltma esnasında kullanılan hiçbir malzeme tesadüfi ya da alelade seçilmiş malzemeler değildir. Her birinin Erken dönem Türk İnanç sisteminin uzantıları olan kültlerle yakından ilgisi vardır. Ateş, su, ağaç, demir, ocak, taş gibi kültlerle iç içe olan bu ocaklar günümüzün yaygın alternatif tıp tedavisi olarak varlığını devam ettirmektedir. Çalışmamızda Adana ve çevresinde “ocak” veya “ocaklı” olarak kabul edilen kimselerin kültlere bağlı olarak yaptıkları sağaltma tedavileri ve bu tedavilerin yapılışı esnasında kullanılan malzemeler ele alınacaktır. Bu malzemelerin mitolojik kökeni, büyüsel-sihirsel işlemlerle ilgisi ve Şamanistik dönemle bağlantısı ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır.

As old the history of mankind is, the attempt to seek methods of prevention and treatment from diseases is as old. In the Turkish people's culture, public medicine and the practices around it have an important place. For centuries, people have been struggling to protect themselves from diseases and things that cause diseases, but they have also been looking for ways to live a long life in a healthy way.  In these searches, the first institution that people applied to, was the supply center called January. These healing stations moved from Turkey to Anadolu by the Turks have emerged in the direction of this quest and purpose and have brought its work to the present day. Many of the applications presented during the detection and treatment of the disease in these weeks of the disease are carrying the traces of the early Turkish system of belief. These traces are a manifestation of the Early Turkish Faith system as many works of plant and mining origin made from the used material. While the reasons for making are forgotten over time, many applications have protected the real. Early Turkish beliefs' traces and related practices - as in many places of Anadolu - are also widespread in Adana. No material used during the supply is random or randomly selected material. Each of them has a close relationship with the cults that are extent to the Early Turkish Religious System. With the cults like fire, water, tree, iron, janak, stone, these janak continues to exist today as a widespread alternative medicine. In our study we will discuss the supply treatments that the people who are considered "early" or "early" in Adana and their surroundings, according to the cults, and the materials used during the processing of these treatments. The mythological origin of these materials, their connection with magical-magical processes and their connection with the Shamanist era, will be attempted to be revealed.

The struggle for abstaining from the illnesses and searching for remedies is as old as the history of the humanity. Folk medicine and the practices related to it have a crucial place in Turkish folk culture. For centuries on the one hand humanbeings have struggled for protecting themselves from illnesses and the things causing them, on the other hand they have searched for having a healthy and long life. For this searching, the first institution that people have applied is the ocak (seedbed) which is a centre of treatment. These treatment ocaks, which were brought from Turkistan to Anatolia by Turkish people, have emerged as a result of this aim and they are still in practical use to this day. Lots of practices which are carried out during the determining and curing in these ocaks where treatment is done carry on the traces of old Turkish belief system. These traces reflect the old Turkish belief system via the medication prepared with the roots of plants and mine. Although in the course of time it has been forgotten why these practices have been originally carried out many of them preserve their original form.  Treatment ocaks having the traces of old Turkish beliefs and the practices related to them still exist in Adana as well as many places of Anatolia. The materials which are used for treatment are not coincidental or randomly chosen. Each of these materials is related to cults that are extensions of Old Turkish belief system. The ocaks which are related to cults such as fire, water, tree, iron, ocak, stone still continue their existence as the most commonly used alternative medicine remedy. In this study, the treatments implemented by the people who are referrred as “ocak” or “ocaklı” from Adana and its surroundings who use these cults and materials for these treatments will be studied. These materials’ mythological source, the relation to magical applications and the connection to the shamanic period will be explained.
