Atasözlerinin Sosyal Bilgiler Programındaki Değerler Açısından İncelenmesi

Bu çalışmada, Türk kültürünün edebi ürünlerinden olan atasözleri, Sosyal Bilgiler programında yer alan değerlere göre analiz edilmiştir. Bu kapsamda incelediğimiz 2005 Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programı'nda dördüncü sınıftan yedinci sınıfa kadar devam eden sekiz öğrenme alanını ve 20 değeri kapsayan toplam 516 atasözüne ulaşılmıştır. Çalışma betimsel tarama modeli ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, "aile birliğine önem verme, adil olma, bağımsızlık, barış, özgürlük, bilimsellik, çalışkanlık, dayanışma, duyarlılık, dürüstlük, estetik, hoşgörü, misafirperverlik, sağlıklı olmaya önem verme, saygı, sevgi, sorumluluk, temizlik, vatanseverlik, yardımseverlik" değerleri ele alınmıştır. Değerlerde en fazla ulaşılabilen 103 atasözü ile adil olma değeri, en az ise 1 atasözü ile vatanseverlik ve bağımsızlık değeri olmuştur. Sonuç olarak Sosyal Bilgiler öğretiminde yer alan değerlerin aktarılmasında birçok atasözünün kullanılabileceği belirlenmiştir. In this study, proverbs, one of the literary products of Turkish culture, are analized regarding to the values in social studies. 516 proverbs were foundin 2005 Social Studies Education Programme, which was examined in this context, from 4th to 7th grade, covering eight education areas and 20 values. The study was executed with the descriptive survey model.In this study, the values of "caring about family unity, being just, independence, peace, freedom, being scientific, industriousness, solidarity, sensibility, honesty, aesthetic, tolerance, hospitality, caring about being healthy, respect, love, responsibility, cleanliness, patriotism, helpfulness" are discussed.In these values, the value of being just, with 103 proverbs, is found the most, and the value of patriotism and independency, with 1 proverb, is found the least. Consequently, it is determined that many proverbs can be used in order to transmit the values, taking part in the education of social studies.
