Abstract:

Genel olarak ülkelerin gelişmişlik düzeyi ayrımı üç ana kategoride yapılmaktadır. Bunlar; az gelişmiş ülkeler, gelişmekte olan ülkeler ve gelişmiş ülkeler şeklindedir. Bu sınıflandırma bazen ülkelerin sahip olduğu teknoloji düzeyine, bazen yaşam standartlarına (eğitim ve sağlık), bazen de gayri safi milli hâsıla ve ekonomi hacmi çerçevesinde kriterler göz önünde bulundurularak yapılmaktadır. Bu sınıflandırılan ülkelerin nihai hedefi ise gelişmiş ülke kategorisine ulaşmak veya bu kategoride kalabilmeyi sürekli kılabilmektir. Bu amaca ulaşmak için söz konusu ülkelerce bazen mevcut bazı ekonomi politikaları uygulanmakta ve eğer bu politikalar yeterli olmuyorsa yeni ekonomi politikası arayışları içerisine girilmektedir.
