Abstract:

Research shows that early childhood education is extremely important in terms of the development of cognitive, social and sensual characteristics.The importance of this education increases even more when the majority of human character is formed around the age of 6-7 years. This research was done to determine the relationship between the emotional behaviors of the pre-school teachers and the post-school teachers candidates in the profession and their attitudes towards the pre-school teaching profession. The research was carried out with 90 pre-school teachers who are working in the Erzurum province center and private pre-school educational institutions and 80 final class teachers candidates who have been trained in the K.K.E.F University of Atatürk. In the study, "Personal Information Form" was used to obtain information about pre-school teachers and teacher candidates, "Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Scale", "Pre-school Teaching Attitude Scale" to identify pre-school teachers and teacher candidates' emotional intelligence abilities, pre-school teaching profession attitudes. The study found that pre-school teachers and teacher candidates had a significant difference in their emotional intelligence subdimensions. Pre-school teachers and teacher candidates have found that there is a meaningful relationship between their emotional intelligence and pre-school teaching professional attitudes.
