Abstract:

As everyone lives, it is normal that teachers experience anger because of the problems they face in the educational environment. It is important for them to express their anger in a constructive way and to be able to manage them effectively to improve the quality of education and teaching. This study aims to explore teachers’ opinions about anger and to identify the expressions of anger and the forms of anger management, and to determine whether there is a difference between these criteria according to the gender variable. The research was carried out in the framework of the karma model and the data collection tool was applied to the 50 material liquid type attitude scale. According to the results obtained, between the views on the cause of anger and the extent of expression, the opinions of women teachers were significantly high. In the control of anger, there was no meaningful difference between the opinions according to the gender variable. When the opinions on anger and expression are studied, it appears that teachers generally show constructively their anger in the school management and student dimensions. In the management of anger, many teachers who apply to strategies have been determined to manage their anger.
