Bu araştırmanın temel amacı okul öncesi öğretmeni adaylarının problem çözme becerileri ile öğretmen öz yeterlik algıları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Bu amaçla ilişkisel tarama modelinde bir araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2016-17 öğretim yılı ikinci yarıyılında, Mersin Üniversitesi ve İnönü Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültelerinin Temel Eğitim Bölümü Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinden 207 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri Problem Çözme Envanteri ve Okul Öncesi Öğretmenlerinin Öz Yeterlik İnançları Ölçeği aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma ve Pearson Korelasyon Katsayısından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda okul öncesi öğretmeni adaylarının problem çözme becerisi ortalamasının Χ=93.97 düzeyinde olduğu; öğretmen öz yeterlik algılarının Χ=151.94 düzeyinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Okul öncesi öğretmeni adaylarının problem çözme becerisi ile öğretmen öz yeterlik algıları arasında orta düzeyde, pozitif yönde bir ilişkinin var olduğu saptanmıştır (r=.473, p<.01)

The purpose of the present research is to examine the relationship between problem solving skills and self-efficacy perceptions of the pre-school teacher candidates’. For this purpose, a research was carried out in the relational screening model. The population of the research consists of the students that have attended to the preschool education program in İnönü and Mersin Universities (Faculties of Education) in 2016-2017 and the sample consists of 207 teacher candidates. Preschool Teachers' Self Efficacy Beliefs Scale’ and ‘Problem Solving Inventory’ have been used as data collection instruments. Mean, standard deviation and Pearson coefficient of correlation have been used in data analysis. As a result of the research, it has been found that the pre-school teacher candidates are at the level of problem solving skills (Χ=93.97), teacher self-efficacy perceptions (Χ=151.94). There is a middle positive and significant correlation between the pre-school teacher candidates’ problem solving skills and total self-efficacy perceptions (p<.01)
